Life at CS / 04

Good work needs a good place to do it.

We are building a cohesive, happy team where people can do their best work, grow deliberately, and be recognised for it. Clients get the same standard we expect of each other.

01

Client success is everyone’s job.

Every person takes responsibility for responsiveness, accuracy and the client’s experience. Not just the person with the file.

02

Legal ethics, without compromise.

Confidentiality, conflicts, candour and professional duty come first here. We take the rules that protect clients and the profession seriously.

03

One cohesive team.

We share context, cover for each other and celebrate good work together. The office is friendly, direct and human.

04

A balanced professional life.

Law firm work can be intense. We plan, use technology well, and support each other through the pressure instead of pretending it is not there.

05

Fast-moving, professional, human.

Quick turnaround and digital tools, paired with direct human contact. Dynamic does not mean chaotic.

06

Culture, CSR and celebration.

Quarterly office meetings, recognition for exemplary work, CSR and in-office activities. A positive legal culture is something we build deliberately.

Flexible by design

Flexible working hours.

We care about the work being done well, not about presenteeism. Core hours and office presence are agreed around the needs of the role, clients and the team.

Tools

Digital first.

Cloud documents, matter systems and e-signature are part of the day job. Less paper, fewer manual handoffs, more time for the work.

Culture

Supportive and direct.

We give clear feedback, share context and expect people to ask questions. Good work is recognised; mistakes are treated as things to fix, not hide.

Growth

Growth oriented.

Structured onboarding, professional development conversations and real responsibility over time.

Mentorship

Mentorship and training.

Advocates mentor pupils, interns and colleagues. Training is practical and tied to live matters.

Rhythm

Quarterly meetings.

The whole office meets each quarter to review the firm, share updates, celebrate wins and recognise exemplary work.

Development

Exposure that compounds.

Commercial matters, cross-border clients, disputes and transactions. You will see the whole shape of a matter, not one narrow slice.

Wellbeing

Respect and balance.

A professional, respectful environment; sensible hours; and support when life is difficult. We acknowledge the pressure of law firm work and try to balance it with technology and people-centred planning.

Paid programmes

Stipends and disbursements.

Pupils and interns receive a reasonable stipend. Approved disbursements are reimbursed.

The people you would work with

Partner-led from the first day.

Advocates mentor pupils, interns and colleagues, and training is tied to live matters. These are the firm's two partners.
